LTDLTD Collaboration
I was approached by LTDLTD to design a range of T-shirts which showcased my work and style. The project was based around making these shirts into ‘works of art' - exploring what we define as an art piece and in what format it can be. Each design was limited and set at various price points. The exclusivity of each design was the key selling point of the project; aiming to intrigue and sell based on rarity.

Project Statement
My work conveys movement and expression through line and gestural mark making. A love for life drawing has interested me in the human form, leading me to question how I could approach this subject matter in my own way.
I develop my work through various sketches of a single pose or facial expression - the work becoming more and more abstracted each time. Through continuous line drawings of figures and faces, I approach each piece spontaneously and without thought - much like a doodle. The aim is to make the work as free-flowing as possible, allowing my mind to take over. The more tuned into my subconscious I am, the more fluent and expressive the work becomes.
Understanding colour is another important part of my practice. Choosing bold hues, I love to experiment with various tones and combinations to create striking images. The colours I select are intentional, and seek to reflect the emotion and mood portrayed within the subject of the work.
Finalised Designs
‘Why so blue’

This work explores feeling ‘blue’. Combining various hues and shapes, the piece represents feeling down by using expressive, gestural mark-making. The subject makes direct eye contact with the viewer, drawing you in in an attempt to understand its worry. I approached this piece with spontaneity, using my subconscious to guide the line; the outcome a reflection of myself mid 2020.
‘Comforting’

This piece explores becoming comfortable with another. The poses are laid back, the cool green colours representing relaxation. The work seeks to express the connection between two as their relationship evolves.
‘Grey Area’
​
This piece resembles a conversation between two figures. The work asks the viewer to determine what the figures are doing. The purpose is to generate further discussion; the viewer then mimicking the subjects within the work.
‘Solo’
​
Studying the human form, I approached this work in a minimalistic style to keep a focus on the line and shape; highlighting the figure. The pose hides the face but the back being exposed reveals a vulnerable side to the subject.
‘Fragmented’
​
This work represents the feeling of being disjointed and unsure of the future. The piece is split with lines and dispersed with colour to resemble being out of place and incomplete.
